Project data management
Project may be long or short in period and it involves with many factors such as
human, cost and procedures. Project has its own life cycle and its divide into stages and
each stage has it own characteristics. In view of this, project required a systematic ways
in managing the factors. Project Data Management or PDM for Customedia Sdn Bhd is a
collaboration of Project Management with the Software Engineering practices that
provided integration and monitoring of information between distributed projects that
reduces the manual effort and time spent. PDM is an that application will assist the
Project Manager in managing projects and it consists of six Project Management
application namely Time Management, Risk Management, Issue, Change Request,
Verification and Validation and QMS
Relationship between perceived organizational support, leadership behavior, and job satisfaction: an empirical study in Iran
As the second largest producer of cement after Egypt in the Middle East, Iran planned to increase production from 33 million ton/yr (Mt/yr) currently to 70 Mt/yr by 2021 due to increase in local demand and also to compete in export markets (Dehqan, 2002). Thus, Iran is experiencing some changes in workforce participation in order to achieve high level of organisational performance and effectiveness. The objective of this study is to determine the impact of leadership behavior and perceived organisational support on the job satisfaction of Iranian employees. Data were collected through questionnaire from 136 employees working in Tehran Cement Company. Consideration leadership behavior was found to have significant impact on both intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction whereas perceived organisational support was significantly related to extrinsic job satisfaction. Interestingly, the interaction of leadership behavior and perceived organisational support were not significantly related to job satisfaction. The implications to human resource development for organizations that want to increase employee commitment is to focus on improving the quality of the supportive relationships between the employees and both the leader and the organisationPeer Reviewe
The Role of Knowledge Management Practices on Organizational Context and Organizational Effectiveness
Knowledge Management is a difficult concept: it contains multiple representations and concepts. It is believed to have impact on organizational performance and organizational effectiveness. This research attempts to explore the influence of organizational, cultural, and structural characteristics on the extent of knowledge management practices and organizational effectiveness. A study of selected multinational companies in Malaysia was conducted using 98 questionnaires. Six main hypotheses have been generated and Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software was used for analyze the relationships of organizational context, KM practices, and organizational effectiveness. The result indicates that out of 5 elements in the organizational context, support and collaboration, leadership commitment and formalization have relationships with knowledge management practices. However, Knowledge management practices partially mediate the relationship between organizational context and organizational effectiveness
Entrepreneurial orientation and effectiveness of small and medium agro-based enterprises (SMAES) in Malaysia – mediating effect of knowledge and network strategies / Amran Awang, Zainal Ariffin Ahmad and Abdul Rashid Said Asghar
This paper aims to explore the mediating role of knowledge andnetworking on entrepreneurial orientation (EO)-performance relationship among the small and medium agro-based enterprises (SMAEs) in Malaysia. The concept is somewhat vague thus knowledge-base and networking strategies are some basic features to understand in the relationships. EO, knowledge and network were entrepreneurial capabilities under the purview of the resource-based view (RBV) that were found to explain firm’s effectiveness. Results of the study noted that EO dimensions among SMAEs entrepreneurs showed strong relationship to knowledge-base elements of human capital development and tacit knowledge and network variables (consist of strategic alliance and social network capabilities). The analysis done to 615 Malaysian agro-based small business entities (SMAEs) discovered social network as mediator in
the EO’s competitiveness-effectiveness relationship. The results imply that Malaysian SMAEs consider social networking as an efficient means of entrepreneurial firms to be more effective. The study encapsulates proposed future research directions
Nonlinear process modeling of pH neutralization process in CSTR using, selective combination of multiple neural Networks.
pH control problem is very important in many chemical and biological systems and especially in waste treatment plants. The neutralization is very fast and occurs as a result of a simple reaction. However, from the control point of view it is very difficult problem to handle because of its high nonlinearity due to the varying gain and varying dynamics with respect to the operating point.
This study investigates the relationship between principles of total quality management (TQM) and educational organisation outcome with respect to student satisfaction and student academic achievement. The survey approach
was used in this study and the time horizon was cross-sectional. The survey was carried out in 100 educational departments selected randomly from 10 public universities in Malaysia. The final number of participants for this study
was 85 educational departments. The sample size comprised about 70% of the total population. The study hypotheses were tested using correlational and linear regression analyses. The results supported all the hypotheses posited
for the study, suggesting that educational organisations can benefit from TQM principles. Pearson-r correlations indicated that all of the TQM principles have significant correlations with student satisfaction and student academic
achievement variables. Principle component analysis and simple linear regression were carried out to reduce the possible effects of multi-collinearity and to determine the relationship of the variables, and the results indicated
that TQM principles explained a significant percentage of the variance in student satisfaction and student academic achievement variables
Electric Car Chassis Design and Analysis by Using CATIA V5 R19
The evolution of computer aided design (CAD) systems and related technologies has promoted the development of software for the east of chassis modeling. It visualizes the main outputs of the model, which consist in numeric data and graphic elements. This reduces the simulation time dramatically and enables the optimization process to come to successful results. This paper presents an electric car chassis design by using the commercial design software package, CATIA V5 R19. The design of the chassis with adequate stiffness and strength is the aim of this project. The material used is mild steel AISI 1018 with 386 MPa of yield strength and 634 MPa of ultimate strength. The result shows that the critical point of stress and displacement occurred in the middle of the side members in all loading conditions, maximum stresses are below the yield stress. The final products for the design have been fabricated successfully
Understanding Motivation, Empowerment and Sustainability Outcomes of Women Homestay Entrepreneurs in West Malaysia. A Preliminary Analysis.
The participation of women in the homestay industry is a growing phenomenon; yet research in this area is limited especially in Malaysia
The Quest For Teaching Excellence
The definition of teaching is the sharing or imparting of
knowledge and skills either through formal or informal methods
of instruction. Epistemology refers to the study of knowledge
and how learning is acquired, and it addresses questions such as:
What kind of learning do we want our students to have? What
are the modes of delivery of knowledge? How do we ensure that
our students are learning via best practices, such as Student-
Centred Learning (SCL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and
Contextual Learning
